A letter from one of our ParentChild+ Program Parents
I want to take this time to express how thankful I am to Miss Ruby’s Kids. Your ongoing support and contributions are much appreciated. Miss Ruby’s Kids programs have been instrumental in shaping the future for my children Dominik and Darius. The program not only provided support in preparing my children for school, but it also provided support to me, the parent, as well. From the first day we started the program, I saw a change in Dominik. The one-on-one support from our Early Learning Specialist helped him in so many ways. It was his ELS who noticed delays in Dominic’s speech and gross motor skills. With the help of Miss Ruby’s Kids staff, I was referred to services that could help meet the varying needs of my child. As a single parent going to school full-time and working, I could not thank her enough. We no longer have Miss Ruby’s Kids staff visiting us in our home weekly, but through the Mentoring program, my boys have a mentor that visits their school each week to provide continuous support as they age and mature. I hope you all can see just how much your contributions mean to the families of the program. Everyone has been and continues to be supportive. Signing up for this program was one of the best decisions I ever made for my family. Thank you again for helping to keep this program running. The children of Georgetown County greatly benefit, and I am a testament to the lasting effects of the programs.
